The FULL VOICE WORKBOOK SERIES has been researched, developed and tested with school aged (5-18 years) vocal students who are participating in weekly private or classroom vocal lessons. It assists in the development of healthy vocal technique and music reading skills without a bias to any specific genre of music.

Q. Can I get a discount if I am purchasing class sets (large numbers) of the workbooks?
A. Yes. Talk to your music retailer. Most music retailers will offer discounts on larger orders for classrooms or choirs. Our list of retailers is found here
Q. What improvements have been made to the FVWS 2nd Editions?
A. Tons! Firstly, a new look has allowed us to drop the price of each workbook to $13.95 each. Feedback from the first edition encouraged us to stream line the layout and add performance related activities and assessments. Very useful feedback for students, teachers and parents. Q. What is the benefit of using the FULL VOICE WORKBOOK SERIES?
A. The FVWS addresses the needs of vocal teacher, student and parent. For the Vocal Teacher, it assists in providing organized and educational vocal music lessons. Weekly lessons and graded reviews allow teachers to address the individual strenghths and weaknesses of each student. Students have a hands-on resource book with pictures, examples, exercises and assignments. Parents can easily monitor their child's progress, while supporting the teacher's efforts.
Q. Who should consider using the Full Voice Workbook Series?
A. The FVWS has been research, tested and developed for vocal students in a private vocal lesson. Regardless of the genre of music that the teacher and student may be working on, the FVWS helps to develop healthy vocal technique,strong vocal ability and musicianship. NOTE: The FVWS is now being used in classroom vocal music classes at selected elementary private schools.
Q. Why does the FULL VOICE WORKBOOK SERIES use the Tonic Sol-fa (movable Do) method?
A. Tonic Sol-fa is an amazing tool for singers of all ages. Using the handsigns is a fun game for young singers. Tonic Sol-fa aids in developing confidence and independence without relying on the piano (or any other instrument or vocalist) for assistance. NOTE: When testing the FVWS, students who used the Tonic Sol-fa method in their weekly lesson did dramatically better than those who used numbers, note names or no method at all.
Q. How do I incorporate the FVWS into a weekly lesson?
A. The FVWS lessons have been developed to be flexible to the individual teacher and student. Most lessons can be completed in 10 to 15 minutes which leaves ample time for repertoire development. Some teachers will split one lesson in half or leave the theory assignment for homework. Most teachers and students find that it is very easy to incorporate the workbook activities into the lesson.
Q. I don't work with a vocal teacher. Can I use the FVWS by myself?
A. While there are many vocal lesson programs that provide Do-It-Yourself references, the FVWS is not one of them. This program was designed and test group studied for school aged students who are working with a teacher.
Q. Why are there no songs in the FVWS?
A. The FVWS is not a repertoire book. It has been developed without a bais toward any one genre of music. It is a workbook that breaks down basic musical concepts to develop strong vocal ability and music reading skills.
